Solved: Lines K And I Are Parallel, And The Measure Of Ang

Solution Answer (C): Angle EAB is 90 because it subtends a diameter. Therefore angles BEA and ABE are 40 and 50 , respectively. Angle DEB is 50 because AB is parallel to ED. Also, ∠ DEB is supplementary to ∠ CDE, so ∠ CDE = 130 . Because EB and DC are parallel chords, ED = BC and EBCD is an isosceles trapezoid. Thus ∠ BCD = ∠ CDEQuestion 895009: Angle ACB equals 55 degrees. What is the measure of angle BCD? Answer by harpazo(655) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website! SOLUTION: Angle ACB equals 55 degrees. What is the measure

The asnwer is ∠C=77°, ∠BCD = 283° Step-by-step explanation: According to the info or the problem angles B and C are adjacent angles of a paralellogram, so those angles are supplementary each other. We can calculate the angle C applying the supplementary angles theory: ⇒ ∠C = 180° - ∠B = 180° - 103° = 77°. So angle ∠C = 77°.Use the diagram to find the measure of exterior angle BCD. What's a Bolt Circle Diameter (BCD) or Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD)?

As you may be aware mindful in the event you've discovered this information, a bolt circle is an imaginary circle that passes through the centre of the bolt or screw holes in a round pattern. This is normally a wheel hub on a vehicle, chainring on a bicycle or flange on a pipe. The diameter of this circle is known as the bolt circle diameter (BCD) or pitch circle diameter (PCD). Typically BCD is quoted for bash guards masking the chainrings on motorcycles and you'll calculate it by means of measuring the distance between the fixing holes of the chainring. If you need to order a part for a bicycle, or take a look at the BCD of a flange and can simplest measure the bolt hollow spacing, you want to understand the formula for operating it out.

Working Out the Formula for Bolt Circle Diameter

To work out the system for BCD we first need to perceive what sine and cosine mean.

A right-angled triangle has one angle that measures 90 degrees. The longest facet opposite this angle is known as the hypotenuse. Sine and cosine are trigonometric functions of an angle and are the ratios of the lengths of the different two facets to the hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle.

Let's constitute one of the angles by way of the Greek letter θ (theta).

Side a is known as the "opposite" side and facet b is called the "adjacent" side to the angle θ.

"|" round the words under method "length of"

Then:

sine θ = |reverse side| / |hypotenuse|cosine θ = |adjoining facet| / |hypotenuse|

Sine and cosine are every now and then abbreviated to sin and cos

Angle Subtended by the Arc

Since there are 360 degrees in a full circle, then if there are N equally spaced holes, the angle subtended via an arc (produced by means of becoming a member of the ends of the arc to the centre) on an imaginary circle passing via the bolt holes is:

θ = 360 / N

Angle subtended by arc© Eugene Brennan

Use Sine and Cosine to Work Out the Radius

We can draw triangles and use sine and cosine to solve the triangles and in finding the length of the radius R, and subsequently the diameter D.

Working out bolt circle diameter (BCD)© Eugene Brennan

The most straightforward case is when holes are equally spaced around in a circle.

If we will find the radius R of the bolt circle, then this provides us the diameter D

We calculated that:

θ = 360 / N

Also A is the spacing between holes.

D is the bolt circle diameter.

A triangle can also be drawn between the two ends of an arc on the bolt circle and the centre of the circle. This can also be break up up into two equivalent right angled triangles. The duration of the chord or line becoming a member of the two ends of the arc is A.

(For more data on circles see this information :How to Calculate Arc Length of a Circle Segment and Sector Area)

The sine of an angle in a right angled triangle is the ratio of the period of the facet reverse the angle to the duration of the hypotenuse.

So Sin (θ/2) = |opposite| / |hypotenuse| = (A/2) / R

Rearranging:

R = (A/2) / Sin (θ/2)

But D = 2R

So D = (A/2) / Sin (θ/2) x 2 = A/Sin (θ/2)

But we labored out θ = 360 / N

So substituting for θ gives

D = A/Sin (θ/2) = A/Sin ((360 / N)/2) = A/Sin (180 / N)

D = A/Sin (180 / N)

Equation for Bolt Circle Diameter

Working Out the BCD for a Chainring or Bash Guard

All you want to do to calculate the BCD is measure the hollow spacing A between adjoining holes, count the quantity of holes N and plug them into the equation above to calculate the BCD.
